 PASSION LED US HERE

I grew up around dogs, and my very first job was in a pet store in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I took that job because I loved seeing my dog so excited when we arrived and unable to contain himself once he got in the store. I loved a lot about working there as well, like helping customers with their pet needs, engaging with like-minded pet-lovers, and of course meeting their dogs. As I grew within the business and took on more management responsibilities, I realized that between handling inventory, running the business, training team members, and more... I had so much to do that it kept me from doing the things that got me into the business in the first place! Who had time to juggle all of that?!

After attending college at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, I returned to Ann Arbor and started a career in marketing. I hadn’t forgotten about my friends and colleagues at that pet store I once worked at and I still observed the need among pet store owners to delegate aspects of their business so that they could own it, instead of it owning them. So, I created Pet Engine Marketing; a community for independent pet retailers to get easy and impactful resources as well as a service that can finally manage one of those many hats for pet store owners.

We don’t want to see more local businesses closing due to the growth of big-box retailers and eCommerce giants. So we use our expertise to help independent pet stores grow by managing and executing effective online marketing strategies.

As a true marketing partner, we are as committed to your store’s success as you are. Our strategy is to combine the same marketing tactics and resources used by retail titans with localized, small-town branding to create a loyal community of pets and pet owners.

Pet Engine Marketing is the only professionally operated digital marketing agency that creates consistent membership growth for independently-owned pet stores looking to build their communities.
